Challenge #3 on the Fantabulous Cricut challenge blog.  To use a Cricut cut or image that you have never used before.well, here is my entry.  I used the Old West cartridge for the horseshoes.  It's amazing when you look deeper into the options of a cartridge how many options you can find.

I'm pretty excited.  I checked the Wednesday winner on the new challenge site that I found where I have entered a couple of entries.  I didn't win, but I was one of the top 5!  It's the card with the bird on it that was one of the top 5.  I won't know about the other card until next Wednesday, but I still think it's cool to be named as one of the top five.

Well, again the new blog I found has another sketch challenge.  There is one every Monday so when I can I'm going to do it.  This weeks challenge is to take a specific layout and make it my own.  Of course I need to use my Cricut to make part of the design.  I used my Art Philosophy cartridge for this challenge.  Here is my entry:

I found a website that has card challenges and such for people with a Cricut machine.  This site is called Fantabulous Cricut challenge blog.  The website if you are interested is fantabulouscricut.blogspot.ca.  I decided to try out the Challenge Me Monday challenge, and here is my entry.  I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to make the bird as well as the large flower.  The challenge was to make a card or layout using a bird in the design.

I was asked to do some wedding invitations for a wedding for a bride who is getting married in July.  I did up a bunch of designs and the bride actually wanted 3 of them.  So I did up an even number of them all.  Here they are:

In May 2013 I had a co-worker get married.  They wanted a casual ceremony that was just in a family home so they wanted a more casual invitation.  Here is the invitation.

I have a good friend who got married in May 2013 and I was asked to do invites and the cake.  Here are the results:

Even though it looks blue, the cake is shades of purple.  Not the best lighting in the hall.  I'm super happy with how it turned out though.

In January 2013 a good friend got married.  I did her invitations and was also asked to do her wedding cake.  Here are the pictures:

As I promised here is some of the things I have been doing this past year.  A very special friend of mine had a very special birthday in 2013 and I made this cake for her. The fish, shells, turtle and starfish are all made out of chocolate and done with a mold.  The "sand" is made of graham cracker crumbs and the seaweed and "waves" are made with fondant.  All in all I was very happy with the results and so was she. I found the pan to make the numbers at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It's made by Wilton. You can make any number of letter you want!  

I'm back.  I realize that it's been nearly two years since I touched this blog and didn't realize that it had been that long.  So many things have happened that I got side tracked and just never sat down with this.  I no longer have an Etsy store which is sad, but it never generated anything and I thought I would see what other options I could come up with.  I may try again at a later date, but at the moment I'm not going to.

I have found a wonderful resource called Pinterest which I know has been found by many people.  Its great for inspiration, food ideas and so much more.  If you haven't already checked it out, DO IT!!  Be careful, you might just get addicted.
